Overview
About Me
Hey, my name is Corinna and I'm 25 years old.
I think I started couchsurfing when I was around 19, during my gap year in the UK. Until now I stayed with a couple of people, hosted even more and met a whole bunch of awesome couchsurfers😊
I grew up in Germany but as my parents are from Poland I am both fluent in German and Polish (not fully fluent yet but I'm working on it). After finishing school I took a gap year in London, working there as an Au Pair, and afterwards stayed in a small village close to Kraków for two months to improve my Polish.
Then, I finished my bachelor's degree in psychology in Dresden and now I 'm back home, well at least I am back in my "original" federal state, where I specialise in business psychology.
My studies take up pretty much time which is why I put couchsurfing on the back burner for quite a lot of time, but I am hoping to join the couchsurfing community again soon🤗
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think the best way to gain insight into a culture is by meeting people who actually live at the place you're visiting, so I'm trying to seize the opportunity that this community offers and also to do my bit. Apart from that, I simply like meeting new people and broadening my mind.
Interests
I enjoy playing volleyball and I'm a great fan of music: from listening to live music in pubs, going to concerts to making music myself (I play the guitar, been member of a small musical theatre, sang in an a capella group etc.).
I also like to read a good book, cooking and baking, going out, gardening... and learning all kind of stuff 😅
Music, Movies, and Books
I don't think there is a special kind of music I listen to, I like different songs from different genres, though most of the time I listen to rock, EDM and nu metal.
When it comes to books and movies, I prefer (psycho) thrillers, as I am very interested in the human mind (what a surprise..)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think live is (mostly) amazing and I've already made some awesome experiences!
If we ever meet, we can exchange some stories😉
Teach, Learn, Share
If you'd like I could teach you some German or Polish.
I could also teach you some things on the guitar, something psychology-related and probably more...
And I am interested in learning anything you could teach me!
