ABOUT ME

I am a bicyclist, poet, entrepreneur, dog lover, and brand new stepmom. I am a professional mental health advocate and it's important work, but so far not a lucrative work. I'm traveling the country and building revolution and helping free our people. I'd love to meet new allies and recruits and avengers for justice. I also just like to get down and boogie and party and do spoken word poetry slams and ride bicycles.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Everything I do is participatory. I'd love to host travelers or visit other people that are down to earth. I am on a see food diet - I see food and I eat it. I frequently travel and end up where I may. I also host guests and have stayed with people via a touring cyclist site called Warm Showers. I love meeting new people and I hate giving money to the Hiltons.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One time my friend and I decided to ride our bikes from Memphis to Kansas City. It was the week after Thanksgiving so it was cold. We said, "Six days from Memphis, no cold or dark can prevent this..."

The first night we camped in a conservation area. Then we realized we were camped in a hunting area in the middle of deer season, and people on bikes with helmets look a lot like deer. We were already in our sleeping bags and didn't want to move. So we got up in the wee hours and got out of there just as dawn started and the first hunter was coming in. Luckily we got an early start that day since we rode 106 miles to Bob Baxter's house in Arkansas who let out couchsurf with him that night.
