I'm a Nashvillian by way of Texas, but just moved back to Austin! I grew up in a State Park and went to Texas A&M for marine biology/ecology. I love hiking, trying new foods, visiting farmers markets, big cities, small cities, and everything in between. I hope to run a green roofing business some day, and also a wine/tapas restaurant with my BF as well!

My roommate (Rachel Muns - look her up) turned me on to it, and we've hosted three groups so far. I have really loved meeting people, showing them around town and swapping stories! It's been awesome. I haven't used couch surfing yet, but look forward to doing it very soon.

Music!
I used to be such a bore with music... I would buy a CD and literally listen to it 50 times over and over again until I got tired of it... but I don't get tired of music easily - at least stuff I like!
sooo... stuff I like! Glass Animals, Lettuce, Saint Motel, Tame Impala, Radiohead, Weezer, Muse, Adult Jazz (yes, its a band!), Phosphorescent, Broncho, Grizzly Bear... you get the jist.
I did go to Bonaroo this year and that was wicked cool - or wicked hot - however you want to look at it. But hella fun either way! I also just moved to Austin, so looking forward to ACL later in September this year. Maybe if you host me, you can come down to Austin and I can return the favor!

I grew up in a State Park in TX and majored in Ecology in undergrad, so I've got a lot of random taxonomical knowledge... if we go hiking I'll probably be all distracted by trying to figure out which type of tree or fern we're looking at, or pointing out bird calls, or trying to stealthily stalk a deer or fox. I think it's fun!
