ABOUT ME

quirky. im a very simple person. im very energetic, weird, and stupid most of the time. i can't be involved in a serious political/economic/religion conversations because i don't know much about them and i like to admit it at the start, but would like to learn and listen to your point of view if you would like to share. i live in a much more simpler world than city people (tho i've lived in cities in all my life). im free-spirited and it makes me happy. hopefully it makes people around me happy too.

two summers ago i went to a rural part of China to teach English to rural school teachers, and a month before that, lived on a mountain for a month with my geology summer field program. it was the best summer i've ever had! yes, teaching and geology are my favorite favorite favorite favorite things to do.

oh oh, i grew up in Macau, a former Portuguese colony in China (just like how HK is to Britain). regrettably, i don't speak any Portuguese... then at the age of 11, my whole family moved to San Francisco, life went on from there....

oh yea, i m a second year phd student in geochemistry/cosmochemistry. i study the chemistry of meteorites and oldest rocks on earth to know more about planet formation.

i dunno what you can learn from me... well, i know a lot about chinese culture, some stupid jokes, and magic tricks if i still remember them! of course, i can show you around the city, architecture, chicago pizza, late night shows, and bars

and if your next stops are LA or San Francisco, I guess I can give you tips too. i've lived quite some years in those two amazing cities.
