ABOUT ME

I'm a frequent (but lonely) traveller. Mostly, I travel alone so that I can meet more people from the region I am going to and learn most about it. I love hitchhiking. I've done it in all Europe. I'm during my round-the-world journey. I don't know how long it's going to last. I'm not in a hurry and the further I go, the more I realize how little I know. I take my time - because travelling is not only taking photos of sights but, mostly, getting social experience by becoming an active participant in a new surrounding. Even though, I am a teacher by occupation and by call (I've had many jobs since I was 15 - one of which was really well paid but boring and can't imagine enjoying something else than teaching) I think, travelling is much better than travelling is much better than formal education when it comes to learning.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can offer a couch (or a room in my house) for free to max. 2 people - gender doesn't matter. Please bear in mind that alcohol or drugs are not accepted in my house.
Also, I am travelling at the moment but my parents will be happy to offer you a place to sleep (my room will be free yuppeeee!).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had many hosts - from couchsurfing or who have just taken me from the street in some desolated places when I was hitchhiking.

I also hosted some people but not on CS.

I'm not a big fan of hotels. I am a sociable guy who needs positive, or any kind, of energy from others. I do have my moments when I want to be completely alone, but most of the time, I need someone around me. Also, I love sharing my stories and listening to stories of others, especially elders. My grandfather who didn't travel a lot left his diaries (3 books). They're the only books I've read more than once (I normally don't like seeing the same plot again).

I am open to all the kinds of music, literature and films. I love poetry of the countries I visit. Also, I don't have particular cultural interests - rather, cultural moods :-).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

getting a sailplane licence even though I'm afraid of heights.

Jumping on a hood of a passing-by taxi while running away from lads in Cassablanca (in a nutshell, saved by sixth sense) - Having only one night in Cassa on my short trip to Morocco, I got a stupid idea of doing my sightseeing in the middle of the night.

But.... with a proper attitude, every day can be amazing.

However, if you and I are free, we can share a hitchhiking experience. I also don't want to disturb you or be a burden to you so I'll help you with as many things as possible.
