About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Share my ideas with like-minded individuals.

ABOUT ME

I make music that doesn't exist yet and won't exist again.

Somewhere between artist and hippy and pragmatic humanist and musician and vegan and educatory.

PHILOSOPHY

Do what you want to do, make actions in the direction you want to act.

Be your own Composer.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We'd love to host ! After showing my roomies that CS is incredible, they're hooked on the idea and are now comfortable with us hosting !
I definitely enjoy travelling too. Experiencing new places and cultures is a reason to do anything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had the opportunity to surf Chicago the last part of Winter break of 2012-13. It was fantastic, and the CS community there was great !

Interests

Right now, i think the art scene is probably my biggest interest. Experimental and conceptual art top the list, followed by any art of good merit.

Jazz and improvised music come in at the top too. I want to make up music with other people who want to make up music.

Mathematics is the other one. Fun stuff. Surprisingly creative stuff. Logical stuff. What's not to like ?

Really though, anything that is done with a pure integrity is worth attention.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

While in Portland, i was staying with my friend at the share house he lives in. It is a large home occupied by ten people. The house runs vegan, and many sources are shared communally. The residents are mostly toward anarchist ideals, with some hippy thrown in. Activism is common in a variety of area. There is a potpourri of genders and orientations. Everybody is extremely respectful, and the team gathers up for board games on the evening.

This is really the most incredible living arrangement i have experienced, and is a wonder of human achievement, in my opinion.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a good teacher by now. Five years teaching violin lessons, and a year now doing workshops in schools. And i can teach you, too ! My work is in strings education, jazz strings education, and now elementary mathematic conceptualization.

Cooking is something i love doing and also am pretty good at. Though i have been vegetarian/vegan for the past five years, i am considering a slow transition back into the omnivorous world. In any case, American/Pan-Asian fusion is my delight, as is Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influence. I'd love to make dinner for you :)

Conversation is the key that will unlock anything you want to know.

What I Can Share With Hosts

Food, music, and company- the main ingredients for kindred souls. Engaging conversation, various knowings and unknowings and wondering and wanderings about all the nabove.
