ABOUT ME

I am a progressist. I try to change the world peacefully, through debate, science, philosophy and activism. Sometimes I feel powerless... but I sincerely believe there's hope for change. All it takes... is people. People meeting other people, sharing their dreams, their passions, their humor, their friendship.

Je suis un progressiste. J'essaie de changer le monde grâce au débat, à la science, à la philosophie et à l'activisme non-violent. Par moment, j'ai l'impression de me débattre inutilement... mais au fond de moi-même je crois qu'il existe un espoir de changement. Tout ce qu'il faut c'est de réunir des gens. Il faut partager nos rêves, nos passions, notre humour, notre amitié.

PHILOSOPHY

Do your best. Always try to be a better person. Learn from your mistakes, accept the fact that you can be wrong sometimes. I want to achieve something positive with my life... leave the world in better shape the it was when I found it.

Faire de son mieux. J'essaie toujours de devenir une meilleure personne. J'essaie d'apprendre de mes erreurs et d'accepter que je peux me tromper. Je veux que ma vie ait un impact positif, je veux laisser le monde dans un état meilleur que celui dans lequel je l'ai trouvé.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to the couch surfing project. However I have been surfing a lot on friends' couches and they have been sleeping quite often on my couch.
Once, the indie band "They Shoot Horses Don't They" slept in my living room after their show in Sherbrooke. My friends and I had a nice talk with them and we shared a couple of beers.

Interests

• Music (I prefer Post-Rock, Electro-Rock, Noise, Prog, Indie... but I don't like to use tags so I will listen to about anything and make up my mind).
• Cinema (there again, I prefer independent films, but blockbusters are fun... even when they suck)
• Books (It's hard to be really specific because I don't believe my literary culture is wide enough... but I do prefer books that lead to a deep reflective process).
• Politics, History, Sociology (I'm a scientist so I want to do my best to understand the world we live in... and it includes us)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The North. I spent a month sailing the waters west of Greenland on the CCGS Amundsen and I can't wait for my next trip.

Le Nord. J'ai passé un mois à naviguer les eaux à l'ouest du Groenland sur le NGCC Amundsen et j'ai vraiment très hâte à ma prochaine expédition.
