ABOUT ME

I don't like writing about myself, but here goes... I'm sort of finding a new identity. Skating was my life since I was eight years old, and I used to be really active, an athlete, and worked hard for many years. A year or so ago I injured my back and now I am discovering who I am in this toned-down version of myself. I'm gong to be spending a lot of time traveling this year, exploring new places and making friends everywhere, which is something I have always wanted to do. I really like most people and I tend to get along with just about everyone. I am a really healthy eater and take really good care of myself...now ;).

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the oneness of everything. I don't try to change people - I like to just let them be whatever they are. I tend to eat and live pretty simply - I don't need to have a lot of things to be happy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've known people who have been a part of couchsurfing and only had great things to say about it. I am going to be surfing through Peru for my first CS experiences!

Intereses

Skateboarding was a huge part of the majority of my life until I injured my back. I used to do a lot of crazy stunts with my body, but now I have to chill out while I let myself heal. I've always wanted to travel outside the US, and I figured that now was the perfect time.

I've skated many empty pools and dam overflow pipes, I've hiked down the Grand Canyon twice, swam in the Strait of Georgia near the Whistler Mountain, covered in glaciers. It was pretty amazing to see.

I have mechanical skills - I can fix things. I am a very healthy eater and I am a pretty good cook and would be happy to make dinner. I would like to learn Spanish!
