About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Keeping the momentum going from my last great adventure!
ABOUT ME
I'm an artist with an explorer's heart who feels most alive in new places. Having a camera has helped me see the world from a different perspective, and acts as a reminder to pay attention to the details of life so that I can share them with others.
After spending too many years working in a cubicle, doing work I no longer found challenging or creatively rewarding, I'm changing my life's path to put a priority on traveling, gaining new experiences and making new friends along the way. I'm looking forward to seeing where this new path takes me.
I like the idea of traveling to work, instead of working to travel so I've been researching ways to travel through Europe, working odd jobs along the way. I'd love to hear from anyone who has some experience or insight into this.

THIS MISSION WAS COMPLETED WITH AWESOME SUCCESS!!
Currently planning a roadtrip with a friend (lisangela on CS). We'll be heading out of Texas early on Sunday May 8th, through Southern Colorado & Utah, then onto LA where we'll head up the coastline into Oregon, then to Portland to reunite her with her dog Taylor and bring her all the way back home to Texas.
We'll be taking our time on the first half of the trip to soak in the scenery, explore alternate routes, meet new friends, and give me some time to snap a few photos along the way.
We are both new to CS but excited to dive right in to the experience of it. So if you're anywhere along the route we'd love to meet up and say hi. And if you're up for some adventure or heading our way, we may have some room for 1 or 2 people to tag along. Message me if interested.

PHILOSOPHY
- Home is where your tent is.
- Make an active effort to maintain a constant creative mindset and apply it to everything you do. There's nothing that can't benefit from a little creativity.
- Every person you meet is a person you can learn something from if you're aware and open to the experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to CS, so I'm really eager to meet people who are active in the community, especially in my area.
If you are traveling through the DFW area and want a coffee buddy, get in touch!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted a young Canadian couple on their way back home from traveling through Mexico.
No official CS experience yet, but prior to joining this site I couch-surfed a fire station in South Carolina, a tiny outdoor patio of a high-rise building in Hawaii, and various places in between.

Teach, Learn, Share
Share:
I enjoy introducing people to new music. Some of my strongest friendships began through a shared love of a musician or band. I feel there's a certain magic in getting to know someone through music.
Learn:
I want to learn the art of traveling. I'm interested in learning any tips or bits of advice that you wish you had known when you first began traveling.
Teach:
I can teach you the basics of photography & Photoshop, recommend good books & documentaries, and how to make a great mini pizza.
