About Me

ABOUT ME

Not quite sure if I’m an extroverted introvert or an introverted extrovert.

Although I’m not shy at all, I’m a bit reserved in my mannerisms, so I tend to enjoy people who are somewhat invasive and outwardly warmer than me.

I have a host/tour guide type personality, so I will make conversation flow and make sure everyone feels included, but it will exhaust me lol.

The apparent distance in my demeanor is compensated by my penchant for in-depth conversations. I can’t help but being all up in unraveling what there’s to know about people – the why, the how. I'm a conversational tinkerer.

I deeply dislike the initial awkwardness of getting to know someone. But really like getting to know people in low stakes situations. I like joining people in mundane to ultra niche activities in a way that already presupposes rapport, kind of like a forced attempt at friendship in a controlled environment governed by “fake it until you make it” (or until you get to leave and never see them again lol), isn’t that the only way for adults to make friends?

I see the value in every outing, I’m likely to join anything from a weird roadtrip to see all the laundromats in the state, to an activity I know nothing about, a wedding of someone I don’t know, to let’s go party in Vegas.

I’m Brazilian, and over the last 10 years I moved countries 7 times (between 4 countries). I moved to Minneapolis this January.

Interests

I like going to nice places, but I really love discovering beat down places that no one would never guess were that good, I just love places that look like they are in need of a remodeling (and I hope they never do remodel). Abandoned places are irresistible to me.

I like planning trips and outings with lists and every minute detail researched, but I also enjoy completely spur of the moment things, specially those things that seem like it could all go wrong and can generally see it as a cool future story even when it does go wrong.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I probably shouldn't talk about the amazing things I've seen or done. One because I freeze under interrogation, and I can't really think of anything right now, and also because those would probably be good "silence fillers" when doing stuff with people from here. So I'll just hold on to those.
