ABOUT ME

Adrian and I have been married for 32 years. We have 6 daughter and a son. (And a grand daughter and son so far). I am a Wife, Mum, Nurse, Midwife, Teacher, Grandmother and cannot wait to be more. I love to try new things at least once.
We have lived in the Blue Mountains for 12years. I am now enjoying the opportunity explore different interests. I have just taken up the challenge of creating a garden. I have an interest in creating an edible garden in amongst flower. I like unusual plant particularly those with interesting foliage or scent.
One of our daughters has moved to New Zealand and we really enjoyed driving around the south island and exploring at a leisurely pace. We hope to do this more often in different countries in the future.
I enjoy cooking for the crowds on the weekend (when the crowds seem to arrive). I also enjoy reading....almost anything. I love meeting new people and love sharing stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is my first venture into CS. Unless you count the holidays shared with family and friends where the mattresses have thrown on the floor to accommodate the crowds sharing a holiday together or because we talked too much and it was too late to drive home..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted Japanese students in my home on three occasions and each time have learnt something new. I have enjoyed watching these student grow in confidence as they practiced their English skills with my family. I have enjoyed sharing our culture and learning about theirs. The experience has always added something to our family.

Interests

Gardening, reading,talking, playing cards and board games preferably while sharing a bottle of wine. Trying something new. listening to the Music made by my girls, (voice, guitar, piano, flute, harmonies)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing experiences I have shared have been as a mother, nurse midwife and teacher. The simple thing such as a first smile, birth, death, laughter in the face of adversity, the clever solutions people find to problems. People are amazing.
