LATEST UPDATE BY July 31st 2015:
I have holiday now and I might be on a trip by myself. But write me male/female and just ask, we might at least meet in Heidelberg if the date fits to my travelling plans. But no hosting in the moment.
Still in progress of changing. Guess it's a lifetime job. New challenges in job, especially now, old enough, trying to turn a simple job-attitude into a more proper vocation, even if it means less money.
I am male, 42, looking like 27 (hahaha) born and living in Heidelberg. Why I like the idea of couchsurfing: It is a good way to meet new people and to have maybe directly open minded contact, especially since I am very open minded as well. But on the other side: If the contact is not leading to a "new friendship" - who cares? We'll never see again then :-) This is the difference between couchsurfing and for example new people at the job, where you have to work with people for years.
Hm, let's bring all this years of this topic to a single point... we are here to learn, and learning is not always fun. In many profiles I can see that people often describe themselves as such funny persons, always positive. But I am not! I have bad moods as well, but since I know we are here to learn I know that those are here to teach me to stand them, to fight them but not to cover them behind a shiny happy face. But this moods are always gone when I am with nice people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
2 girls (actually a couple) spent 2 nights here. We did barbecue and had a nice evening with wonderful discussions and music.
My job didn't alow more experiences. Too less time. Now - thanks God - I have much more time!
Writing more and more, Yoga, meditation, learning Java, outdoor activities, a very little bit guitar playing, finding people for a different way to live (complicated and I won't bother anyone with this, until he/she asks for :D)
- outdoor activities
Music, Movies, and Books
I won't name any certain titles. For me really everything can be wonderful, it always depends on the circumstances. I can laugh about Leslie Nielson with the right persons and also almost cry when watching "Monsters, Inc." like happened last monday, as I watched it with the 7y.o. girl of a friend of mine as I was babysitting her. This was such a wonderful moment to see her loving this movie. I liked Rammstein and even met them in person when my love left me and I kind of hate them today for being just trying to shock their audience by being rough on purpose and just cheap.
I love Schlager when I am drunk, but on the other side I am not really drunk any more, I like punkrock when I play guitar by myself (cause it's easy to play) but hate to hear it (cause it actually sucks). I like reading my own texts and on the other side hate to show them to people, I used to like Paulo Coelho and almost feel ashamed about that fact today... but I can say, that I search in all of these media for 80% just entertainment, but for 20% for explanations for all this - so I love all where you can detect a great idea behind.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The - for me - most amazing thing is still in progress...
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to learn better meditation and Yoga. I am more an more believing in God and Jesus and have many so damned great experiences. But still not beeing a nerd in that matter :)
What I can teach? As I have seen in 42 years: If someone THINKS that someone has certain qualities (whether they are real qualities or not), the person is able to teach, cause the admiration for these "qualities" opens all the doors to teach. But if someone thinks, these "qualities" are none, there is no chance to exchange skills or experiences. So I actually can either teach you some, or nothing. Just like everybody I guess. Tell YOU me, if I can teach you anything. If not, let's have another sausage on the barbecue :-)
