About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I would love to meet people who share my passion for travel and different cultures

ABOUT ME

I am passionate about travel and cooking, as well as politics and International Relations. I enjoy learning about different cultures and consider myself very lucky to have had the amazing experiences I have had while traveling. I also enjoy backpacking, skiing and anything outdoors. I have also been known to cut a rug or two in some of S.F's music venues. While I like most genres of music, I really enjoy a good house/electro/experimental dj, which San Francisco fortunately has quite a few of.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't really have a particular life philosophy. I basically just believe in respecting others and learning about different cultures as much as possible. I think that travel is the single most educational experience one can possibly do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to participate in the CS project by offering my spare bedroom to any laid back, trustworthy, respectful traveler(s) who would like to explore what San Francisco has to offer. I would also in the future like to stay on someones couch. Maybe yours!!

NOTE: Please see the bottom section, "What I can share with hosts"

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted some lovely people at my home in San Francisco, now it is my turn to do some couch surfing myself! The golden rule of couch surfing is respect. I look forward to meeting new interesting people and sharing stories of wanderlust and life experiences.

Interests

I am absolutely passionate about travel, and cooking. Other interests include International affairs, and foreign policy. I love going out dancing with friends, as well as hiking, and skiing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I absolutely love documentaries! I usually gravitate towards films/documentaries involving politics, or world affairs as opposed to the usual Hollywood shlock. As far as music, I enjoy most genres, but I really enjoy the local house/electro music scene.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hitchhiked the Michoacan/Jalisco coast via the Pan American Highway in Mexico.

My most amazing life experience was the 3 glorious months I spent backpacking through India. That experience truly shaped who I am now as a person. I have met the most amazing people in my travels who have become some of my best friends. I look forward to meeting more through this website:)

UPDATE: I'm currently teaching English in Nablus, West Bank. My contract ends June 12th. During my time in Palestine, I have met some of the kindest people, and have learned so much about the culture, and political situation here. This is now the most amazing thing I've done:) I look forward to meeting new people, and cultures. I Cant wait to check out Jordan, and Lebanon next!! Yala!!

Teach, Learn, Share

In terms of what I can teach, as stated above, I am a passionate cook and love to share my knowledge with others and learn as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I look forward to sharing my cooking skills and tales of travel with you.
Also, I'm a bit of a night owl, and I do love a good party. I hope you do as well:)
Please do not request to stay with me more than 2 weeks out from your arrival date, as I have no idea what my plans are, or if I will be in town. Apart from that, I look forward to hearing from you!
