2016: See the Northern Lights. Planning a trip to Iceland. Completed: Saw Northern Lights on Jan 19th in Iceland. :-)

Live in London, but from Edinburgh. PhD graduate (Astrophysics), once ran my own business, worked in finance, and now in IT.

Not easily offended and can often see humour in the most serious situations. I also enjoy being outdoors in nature and going on an adventure. I'm outgoing and easy to talk to.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Member since 2007 and I've hosted a few times. It has been a while since I last hosted but I will do so again in the future. Hoping to surf sometime soon.

Currently I'm willing to meet up and hopefully once I move apartment I can host again (somewhere in London).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few people so far and have enjoyed meeting new people while sharing food, stories, beer and jokes. All positive.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked/climbed Aonach Eagach, a very tricky set of mountains with a dangerous knife-edge ridge in the beautiful highlands of Scotland.

Teach:

Maths/Physics... no? Ok, how about Space? Maybe provide interesting philosophical discussions? Err... dunno, maybe I can just teach you Scottish swear words? :-D

Learn:

more German / Norwegian / Swedish / Icelandic (languages).
