CURRENT MISSION

I would love for one day to be able to travel to different parts of the world, taking pictures (because it's a passionate hobby of mine) that I can come back and eventually scrapbook!! Then when I am older I can share those with my family, I'll have stories!!

ABOUT ME

Well, How much time do you have? I have one younger sister, & grew up with a terrific Mom who traveled a lot for her job. We moved across the USA at least 4 times so I went to 5 different High Schools. The great thing is that I met lots of people from all over. I have family scattered all across the US and love to travel by car. My Mom instilled in me a great love of the outdoors which is where I would rather be (except in the winter!..brrrrrr) I moved to Alberta after I met and married a Canadian Man and have been here ever since. We have 3 beautiful kids (not kids any more I guess) and I'm the proud grammie of two.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that my purpose here on earth is to one, be a good citizen in today's society. Helping others whenever possible and sharing the love of Jesus with those around me. Not only verbally, but by the way I live my life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a Couch host more than a surfer. We were in renovations of our home for 4 years so hadn't taken the time to do any traveling ourselves. Not many people actually travel to rural northern Alberta and now that I can do more traveling, I hope to get to know more amazing people and more involved and learn more about this wonderful planet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have loved my CS experience, but am working towards more.. I've usually stayed with friends and family every time I've traveled away from home, but doing more surfing and love to host. Am hoping to surf more and get to know some more wonderful people.

Interests

Family, Horses, Computers, Photography, Scrapbooking and making Cards, camping, Hiking, Gardening, Water sports of any kind! I love my God, dancing, skydiving, traveling, skiing, road trips, biking, quadding, rodeos, I enjoy reading (in the winter time I have more time for that)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I love romantic comedy's such as "You've Got Mail", "Return to Me", "Notting Hill", etc. But I also love documentary's and Musical's. "The Sound of Music", "My Fair Lady" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's" will probably always be favorites.
Music: I enjoy a wide variety of music but Country western, Southern Gospel, Blue Grass, modern country, classic rock, some 20's jazz, big band to blues and southern rock.
Books: Besides my Bible, Janette Oke is one of my favorite authors as well as Max Lucado, numerous others

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many different things..(including my children) but the most amazing place I've been or things I've seen was on my trip to Africa. The people, the animals, the country side...to amazing for words...But I've got stories and pictures!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love the language of American sign and use to interpret for deaf friends of mine before they moved away. I have taught several people the basics but would love to learn more. If you sign, I'd love to talk to you!! I can also teach canning, knitting, candy making and how to make and amazing loaf of home made bread. 😁
