We (Darryl & Courtenay) are a young married couple from Nelson, New Zealand, who have recently returned from travelling through South America for 5 months.
We have also travelled to the Pacific Islands (Fiji, Tonga, Rarotonga) as well as Australia (Sydney, Gold Coast) and Thailand (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket).

We think Couchsurfing is the best way to meet the locals, and learn more about different cultures!

We'd love to learn about your culture, and practice our Spanish - we can help with your English practice.
We're both pretty good cooks and would be happy to cook for you or teach you a few recipes we've discovered on our travels.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We're happy to help out where possible! I have worked in reception, administrative and reservation positions for the last 8 years. Prior to this I was a house keeper and waitress. So I can help around the house or in the office, just ask! :)
Darryl is a a qualified mechanical engineer, and has worked on a range of projects from small repairs through to full rebuilds of forestry machinery. He is very handy around the home, for example he recently finished replacing the wooden cladding and repainting our home.
We are both handy in the garden, and can help out with animals. We have grown up semi-rural with sheep and chickens, and have two dogs of our own.
We can both drive manual and automatic cars, and have full NZ driver's licenses.
