We are from Petersburg, Alaska and have a big loving family. Carter is a fisherman by trade and I work with the United States Forest Service, as a Natural Resources/Fisheries Technician. We are adventure seekers and have many toys to play in the Alaskan Wilderness.
I have been to over 30 countries and still love exploring more :) Carter is new at the international traveling, but he always has an open mind and usually lets me follow my nose to whatever smells the best :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I traveled India for 6 months and staying with some great CS members. We plan to surf SE Asia and Australia until we make it back home. Once in the states again, we'll try to host and show others how great CS people can really be. We want everyone to share in our happiness :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Oh we've had some crazy times couchsurfing in India. We've really been blessed with stumbling onto some really great and loving hosts so far, but have also tripped over some really CREEPY ones- an experience in an experience. We just consider it an opportunity to grow from whatever comes our way :)

It's a bad thing when people on the CS site start judging and creating stereotypes about other fellow travelers. It's such a diverse and unique world- I can't understand what makes people think they know what is or isn't normal. it's a shame that one person can make another individual feel lessworthy just by how they dress or appear.

Centres d'intérêt

We love jetboating into Canada and staying at the FS cabins along the way. We're big into being self-sustainable and usually have fresh moose, deer, halibut and salmon in the freezer. We just bought a house on the water and are living our dreams out together in paradise.
