Hello! My name is Courtney Gabinetti, and I’m a recent college graduate from the United States. I graduated from George Washington Unviersity with a degree in Environmental Studies and Global Cultural Studies. For the next year, I am traveling the world involving myself in eco/environmental communities, volunteering, visiting family and friends, learning about new cultures, and exploring the outdoors by running, climbing, mountaineering, surfing, paragliding, diving, and teaching and practicing yoga worldwide. I am an exceptionally considerate, kind, outgoing, and respectful individual with a knack for finding the best way to offer my company and my skills, and a tendency to exceed expectation and bring joy to the people I meet! I’ve been told I am a delightful houseguest and helper- offering both useful skills, great company, and bright personality: with kindness of heart, open ears to listen and stories to tell, and as much privacy and space as you prefer. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a passion for exploring new places! I do not go the “tourist” route when I travel- I much prefer to really get to know a place. To explore new horizons by making friends and going off the beaten path. I am on a journey around the world and I have a passion for exploring the outdoors, seeing music and art, and connecting with new people. Through couch surfing, I hope to find a better way to live in a new place, by meeting people with similar interests, offering great company, and perhaps going on adventures if desired.

I love music! Rock and electronic music, jazz, funk, global beats, drums, meditative music, and more! I also have a passion for literature! Classic novels, fiction and nonfiction. You mention it, I’ve probably read it. Philosophy, arts, music, culture, my interests are endless! Tolstoy, Steinbeck, Vonnegut, Orwell, Osho, and more. I enjoy literature on eastern philosophy and yoga, current events, mindfulness, international relations, environmentalism, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am a paraglider! I fly parachutes off mountains around the world! I am also a professional fire dancer and acrobat, and have performed both in the United States and internationally!
