About Me
Hello! Those who love me call me Cork and I would describe myself as a happy, friendly, eccentric and warm person. I have worked throughout my undergraduate degree and honours degree in order to travel a tiny slice of this earth. Since I came back penniless in January 2016 from Vietnam and Cambodia, I have felt the all-too common bite of that terrible bug, Travel. Consequently I am working and saving up for the next adventure as well as having some mild existential crises about what to do with my life (oh the pains of being a 20-something year old).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While my next adventure is loading, I would love to meet and host some wonderful people to inspire me (no pressure).
Interests
Food! Cooking it, eating it, thinking about it, reading about it, rolling in it..what! Cats. Animals in general, need to pet them all. Music lover - I love watching live music and singing. Singing makes me happy and I do it a lot. Psychology and its many new developments, feminism, racial relations. Travel of course. I am very interested in wine. God bless South African wine.

Music, Movies, and Books
Neil Young, CSNY, Led Zeppelin, Boston, The Beatles, Toto, The Black Keys, Rob Zombie, Queens of the Stone Age, Man as Machine, Katy Perry, miscellaneous Latin music and much more.
I have this degenerative disease where I forget movies straight after I watch them. Nonetheless, I have overcome this and managed to memorise the whole Anchorman movie. I also have a fondness for the original Alice in Wonderland. Don't show me a scary movie because I will hide behind a pillow with my fingers in my ears (the music is the scariest bit).
I like to read novels, recipe books, journal articles. My favourite authors are Gerald Durrell and David Thorne because their writing makes me laugh uncontrollably. I read recipe books every night, despite the fact that I am not an 80 year old spinster.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen Angkor Wat at sunrise. Sheer majesty.
