Hello lovely people! I'm Courtney and I'm 22, turning 23. I'm from New York and just graduated in May. I decided to enjoy my summer, work for awhile, and then travel before I settled into a lifetime of working. I've been around a little, before deciding to pop back over to Melbourne and do what I've always dreamed of doing, starting my career here! It's going to be an interesting road, and I'm hoping it works out. I'm also hoping to meet some cool, interesting, and fun people along the way as travelling tends to do. I'm laid back, open minded, and independent. Most of all I love to laugh. The best part about this world is the people in it, and Australia has got some real good ones.

Interests

I love going to museums, art shows, films, and live music. And of course, I love to travel like the rest of you lot on here. In my down time I like to paint or draw, take photographs, read, and binge on Netflix while drinking wine. Currently hooked on Making A Murderer like the rest of the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll do at the moment since that's way to hard...

Music: constantly changing day to day, but Fleetwood Mac and Hozier have been on a fair bit lately.

Movie: Star Wars- The Force Awakens. I mean what a revival, am I right?!

Book: currently reading, "Thinking, Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman. I'm into psychology reads pretty much on how humans work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm only 22, so I haven't done anything really amazing. But graduating college can definitely be one thing recently that's a bit of a feat to accomplish!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people how to cook vegetarian food (been one for 12 years), and all about textiles if anyone cared to know different weave patterns.

I would love to learn the more technical aspects of film photography. It's been awhile since I've messed around with mine and I've always been interested in it.

I can share my optimistic attitude, good, but mostly pretty bad, jokes and sometimes my singing if you can persuade me

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share smiles, stories, and wine! I'm respectful, polite, and pretty quiet. I know how kind, and sometimes risky, it is to let someone into your home with open arms. I hope to share a few good laughs if anything at all.
