ABOUT ME

Hello world!
I'm Courtney, I'm 23 and a recent Arts graduate (history/english). I live for music (festivals, live music, old music, new music...) and food (making it, eating it, trying new things) and of course travel.
After graduating, I did my first big travel by myself and now I have the bug. Since I am not really sure what exactly I want to do with myself in the immediate future, I'm going to endeavour to travel, meet new people and see live music until some awesome opportunity presents itself!

I'm very sociable, organised and all about FUN! I love going out, but also appreciate art, music, architecture and the history of every place I visit. I love cities, but I also like being "out in the wild". Plus I'm from the West Coast of AustrI'm exctited to meet new people and expose myself to new ideas!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am fairly new to the couchsurfing world! Although I have not yet hosted a couch surfer, I have had the opportunity to meet quite a few through my friends in Perth who have hosted before.
Although I am jetting off to America soon, when I return from this holiday, I would love to offer up my couch to the couch surfing community. I am hoping that in my travels this year, I will be able to experience couchsurfing first hand and meet some amazing people along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although I have not officially "couchsurfed" before, I have on my travels ended up staying on the couches of people I have met on my travels (thus I suppose it is couchsurfing, but just without the help of this website). There is nothing more obliging than being offered a place to stay for the night, especially if you are in a tight spot!
While in America last year I stayed on couches in Los Angeles and New Orleans, both of which were amazing experiences!

Interests

MUSIC! I have been to lots of international music festivals, so far my favourite being Coachella in California, and Fuji Rock Festival in Japan.
International music crowds are the BEST!!!

Food too. You must immerse your tastebuds in the countries you travel to!

People! I am a big people watcher, and I love nothing better than finding out about other peoples lives.

Literature, Movies, Art - pretty self explanatory, I love pop culture and great classics and everything in between!

History - bit of a nerd I know, but I feel you can't truly understand the places you travel to today, unless you immerse yourself in their histories too
