We are high school sweet hearts from California, and have been living for Edinburgh for the past two years while Josef complete's his Masters in Landscape Architecture degree at the University of Edinburgh. Courtney works as an ecologist in Edinburgh. We love the city of Edinburgh and have really enjoyed traveling around Scotland these past few years! Our traveling mostly consists of hiking and wild camping (right to roam in Scotland is incredible) :)

We like going on all day hikes, exploring new places, and tasting new, delicious food! We enjoy a good chat, telling stories, and hanging out. We love love love to go dancing too! We are vegetarian and non-smokers.

We are couchsurfering because we like to meet to people, cook together, and explore new places! Life is about learning and adventure :)

We are hosting couch surfers because we know what it is like to travel on a cheap budget, we have been gifted with immense generosity and hospitality when traveling, and we want to pay it forward :)

We also value being able to stay on other peoples couches, because of the golden rule of reciprocity.

We enjoy botanizing, hiking, swimming, and painting. We love cooking and learning new instruments! Courtney plays the sitar, and we both enjoy doing mini art and land art projects.
