ABOUT ME

I am now living in Queensland on the Gold Coast. I have two grown boys and a grandson.

PHILOSOPHY

There have been many changes in my life over the last few years. I do more activities now where I can meet new people and make new friends. I have started archery and doing quite well.I also need to finish my business Admin course and completed 3 more subjects so far. I still have 4 to go.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I decided to join this website so that I could have the opportunity of providing a couchsurf choice for older travellers. I also hope to make friends overseas that I could call on for a bed if needed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed during my visit to France in 2011.
I stayed in Fontenay-sou-bois with Charles and Rita and in Toulouse with Jean-Pierre, Patricia and their family.
Our experience was very good and we had the opportunity to host upon my return. Unfortunately with my move this year I have been unable to reciprocate. Hopefully soon that will change.

兴趣

I love to travel and have done quite a bit overseas over Francethe years but would love to do more. I have done more travelling and camping in South Australia. I enjoy riding my bike, going to the gym, walking, archery and dining out or in with friends. I enjoy reading & cooking.

I can't say I have one favourite movie but Harry Potter is always good. Music is also very diverse from classical to some heavy rock. Agatha Christie would have to be my favourite Author but I love reading Monica MacInerney. She is an Australian writer who came from a town called Clare in South Australia. I also like Lee Child and his books about Jack Reacher.
I can read romance, thriller and detective fiction.

The most amazing thing that I have seen on my travels is cruising down the Sonja Fjord in Norway. Just spectacular. I also love flying and anytime I can get a window seat I take photos.

I can certainly give an overview of Australia as I have travelled a bit over the years.
I like to learn the basic language of the country I am visiting.
I did this when visiting France,Turkey, Greece, Italy & Russia during my travels.

My home, hospitality and cooking.
As I am new to the Gold Coast I am still learning bout the things to do here. However, I do enjoy going to Springbrook Falls and driving through the Hinterland.
