ABOUT ME
Those who know me would say that I'm an easygoing, friendly, open-minded person with a wide variety of intellectual interests. I love learning about other cultures, languages and beliefs. I'm an educator by profession as well as an ambitious writer and documentarian. My Twitter profile reads: "Culture addict. Music junkie. Educator, humanitarian, activist. Wannabe writer. Voracious reader. Aspiring lover. Just another chronicler of the times."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been going to the CS Dallas meetings. The people I've met through this organization are super friendly and so much fun to be around.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Since I am a relatively new member I have not yet hosted or been hosted anywhere. I am excited to see who I can meet on my upcoming trip through Morocco and Spain! I can't wait!
Interests
Language is my greatest passion. I love reading, writing and collaborating with people on different projects. I really enjoy all forms of expression. Music is a major hobby of mine, including performing, recording and taking in concerts on a regular basis. Food is my guiltiest pleasure, and I have a nose for finding the best restaurants in any city. For physical activities, I like running, hiking, swimming, rowing and cycling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My trip to India in the summer of 2011 was truly eye-opening and life-changing. I participated in a five-week program sponsored by the UN, which allowed me to visit many places in India, north and south, and gain access to government facilities, schools, museums, NGOs and self-help groups. One of the key experiences for me was visiting the Hope Foundation in Andhra Pradesh where I met dozens of children living with HIV/AIDS and the volunteers who work tirelessly to improve their quality of life. It helped to solidify my purpose in life, which is to make a real difference in the world by taking a stand for what is right despite the apparent obstacles.
