Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live life, practice Bikram yoga, and make new friends
ABOUT ME
I heard about CS through a fellow colleague that I met during Bikram Teacher Training Fall 2008. She told me about it when I mentioned I was planning to travel throughout Southeast Asia. I was born in Vietnam and came back once in 2005. Now I want to explore as much of SEA as possible until my flight expires at the end of February!
PHILOSOPHY
My 3 passions in life are to playing sports, eating, and traveling. I play sports so I can stay fit and eat more and travel to try new types of cuisine that are quintessential to that culture. I enjoy meeting new people and I believe that socializing is one of the key to happiness. I love learning about different cultures from the locals rather than read about it online.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm traveling through Southeast Asia right now and making some contacts. I am meeting with my first CS friend tomorrow in Phuket, Thailand. Depending on my experience here, I plan on being a host when I get back to the states!
Interests
I love playing sports! (Basketball, Volleyball, Softball...learning how to play Golf). I tore my ACL in June 2008 and had knee surgery to replace my ACL. I picked up Bikram Yoga to help rehab my knee. I want to start playing sports again by this summer!

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy inspirational movies such as Rudy, Shawshank Redemption, and Remember the Titans. The two most recent books I read are "Miss Bangkok" and "Damage Done" while traveling in Thailand. Both books were page turners and helped me gain a better grasp of Thai culture even though they focused on the negative aspects. I started reading the Maisie Dobbs mystery series about an British private investigator/psychologist.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting my PADI license in 2007 and going scuba diving for the first time in Bali - a NEW world became available to me in the deep blue sea!
