Overview
About Me
I love the outdoors and enjoy meeting people.
I am a qualified physiotherapist in the UK and enjoy the work A LOT! I have taken a year our to learn about other jobs and develop my skills such as handyman/DIY skills or agriculture. I'm a keen tri-/du-athlete and would like to do as many races/competitions as possible around the world! :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I met a gentleman in Napier, NZ who introduced the concept to me as I was travelling around and who described the method for meeting lovely folk, who share stories and teach surfers about the local area and the secretes that may be there... be it places to listen to music, walk, cycle, eat and drink!
The guys and gals (surfers) I meet through here I would love to meet you all again at different places around the world or back home in the UK! :-)
Interests
I love Cycling, swimming, running- individually and combined in triathlon and duathlon. May even try a quadathlon with kayaking!
Or for my racer profile at JackpotRacing http://www.jackpot-racing.com/the-team/craig-boggon
Wallking (or tramping as kiwis say and bush walking for the Aussies) is another motion I utilise to find special places.
When I can sit down I enjoy reading or movies and I am currently having fun trying to learn Spanish!
Bought a GoPro to show off the travels check out the YouTube page https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCn4hReJ54U_zx9VoapiwFYQ

Music, Movies, and Books
As I've said to a few friends for my music tastes it depends on the time of month haha I like everything from classical to metal and electronic.
Movies I enjoy any film night particularly if beanbags are present.
Books I was a late bloomer to reading but now I'm a regular reader and have very much enjoyed Jasper Fford's Fictional books!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At 18 I completed an ultra marathon 80km (or 50mi) in 9 hours 28 minutes.
For a 21st present to myself I completed Ironman Wales in 12 hours 4 minutes.
June this year (at 22 years old) I did my first tandem sky dive at 15000ft over lake Taupo (NZ) it had 30 seconds of free fall... I could see Mt Hikurangi (East coast), Mt Taranaki (West coast) and of course Mt Tongariro, Ruapehu and Ngāuruhoe!
All amazing as each other but I think it was the ultra that will stay with me as I was so amazed with my body and mind! And the friends I made throughout the day!
Teach, Learn, Share
Happy to teach/discuss about human anatomy/physiology
Very keen to learn Spanish
And enthusiastic about sharing life experiences :-P
I've now met a brilliant surfer in Melbourne who was enjoying life and every moment with his daughter and friends. He taught me more of the ideas and swear words used around coach surfing he shared some of his stories and they were hilarious and enlightening! Cheers Damo :-) I hope to pass on this knowledge as I travel within the CS community.
Melbourne had some great voluntary organisations and people with fantastic ethos one I particularly liked was in Lentil as Anything: It is people that qualify life, not property. Just treat one another with trust and dignity and you'll be on par with everyone else.
What I Can Share with Hosts
