I am a 20 (June 2018) year old journalism student from a tiny town called Risca in the Welsh Valleys, but am currently studying in Cardiff University (the capital city, 30 minutes away by car/train).

I'm a very open-minded individual and love to explore and constantly learn, whether it be languages, cultures, cuisines and foods... My other passions include animals (I worked on a farm for about 5 years and have also had my own tortoise for 6 years) and cars (ok, I may be obsessed). I'm a vegetarian although may be considering veganism, and love to explore new recipes and try them out myself. If I'm not travelling, I'm trying to plan my next trip!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I visit other countries, I refuse to be a stereotypical tourist. I insist on trying to learn some language, and immersing myself completely in the culture. With technology, there's no excuse not to do this!

I enjoy a wide variety of music, mainly what features in the charts here in the UK but I also love listening to music in foreign languages, it's a great excuse to practice my languages!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I backpacked across northern Spain (more than 200km) at the age of 17 without adults, speaking to lots of locals and learning about the culture.
