ABOUT ME

I used to live in Cape Town, South Africa; arguably the most beautiful city in the world. I love this city, and most of the people in it, and love showing people why.

I moved to New York in 2014 to start a masters degree in interaction design / new media art. I'm currently living and working in San Francisco over the summer.

I'm a huge fan of the concept of CS as I hate to feel like a tourist when I travel and want to experience everywhere I visit from a local's perspective.

I'm a well-rounded individual and, to milk a CS cliche, I consider myself to be very open-minded about most things. I like to have fun and party as much as I enjoy the more important things in life. I'm always open to a discussion or debate, but If you carry any prejudices, or try to convert me to some religious cause, we will not get along.

PHILOSOPHY

Empathy. If you cannot place yourself in someone else's shoes, you'll never understand the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've travelled, couchsurfed and met interesting people. I'll host you if I can, but if I can't I'd love to show you why I live in one of the best cities in the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in Berlin and in the Netherlands. Both times I met fantastic people, and have met up with Couchsurfers in various cities to hang out. Unfortunately I'm unable to host given my present living circumstances, but will open my couch as soon as I'm able to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's so hard to say. There are so many places where i'm from that will take your breath away. The experience of a truly african sunset can't really be conveyed over the internet. Backpacking through the transkei (along the east coast of south africa) truly changed the way i look at the world.
