I am a medical student in New York City. It is possible for me to host people, but I live in a very small dorm. Feel free to ask, but hosting is doubtful.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've always been a bit of a mooch I suppose. I couchsurfed with friends before I heard about this site.
