Overview
About Me
I'm a very enthusiastic person in general, and therefore I don't think that anybody is able to tell everything in a whole about themselves, because there are so many different aspects of life. I'm a both mindful and open minded person, sometimes nerdy. Moved out (of my parents') when I became 16 and started my first own IT business when I was 18. I try to live as healthy and sustainable as possible and strive to improve myself in every aspect of life. Of course that includes the environment too, and sometimes the only improvement needed is the way we look at people or things. Don't hesitate to ask me what else you're interested in :-)
I think I like Buddhism and the concept of enlightenment. Have lots of spiritual (thoughtful) experience but didn't read enough about it yet. Any kind of exchange about this topic is highly appreciated!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just settled over to the UK last year and to Eastbourne this year, and although I have already found some friends, I'm trying to find some more open minded world citizens through this website :-)
Interests
Lifelong self-education. Linux, Android, (open & free technology in general) on one hand. Cultural achievements and the further development of mankind on the other hand. At the moment I want to perfect English as spoken language before I start learning the next one.
Photography has been a huge personal interest for over a decade, but somehow it lost its spell in the last couple of years... perhaps due to the philosophical progress I made, I try not to look just on the surface, but behind things.
Trained Capoeira for quite a while and just recently started to train in Eastbourne again.
I play Chess, and althought not very well, I am quite keen on playing with all sorts of different people from different backgrounds. Very surprising sometimes how excellent people play you'd never expected them to. I play it for the challenge and am happy to learn my lesson. Or even teach how to play. All fine!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like both old and new movies that aim on opening eyes on a certain aspect of life or society with colourful metaphors to attract audiences that would have watched the movie for other reasons ;-)
Regarding music I'm mainly listening to German & international (thoughtful) hip hop (do you know "curse"?) and relaxing electronic music (trip hop) as well as sometimes rock and metal, depending on my mood and the surroundings...
I'm not reading many books any more, but I've literally read the whole internet ;-) In the past I've read a lot and liked books most that fulfilled the same purpose as the movies that I like nowadays :-) Last book I finished reading in 2 days was "Pattern Recognition" by William Gibson in 2008.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have to think a little more on this topic.
Couldn't break it down to just one.
A while ago I've done a nightwalk from Hastings to Eastbourne for charity. That was really good.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help you getting to know your Android device better or install Linux on old computers to make them work like a new one. I always say Linux is like fixing computers with software.
And I can teach you German, of course.
I'd be glad to hopefully master the English language at some pointe in the not too far future :-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Experiences about this world and the people that live here.
I am sure I can somehow broaden your perspective on life :-)
Is it worth mentioning that I'm a vegetarian? (flescetarian actually) (no, not flexitarian)
