ABOUT ME

i am currently studying abroad in alicante, spain. i'm taking spanish language classes, and i hope that my spanish is getting better! i can't wait for the day that i'll be able to have a conversation with someone and not have to worry about what i'm going to say next and how i'm going to say it and what verb tense it should be in. on a recent trip to paris, i discovered that i love the french language, and now i desperately want to learn french.

this study abroad trip is actually my first time ever to leave the united states. i want to take advantage of being in europe as much as possible, and i want to travel as many places as i possibly can. i simply want to absorb new experiences.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

unfortunately, i cannot host anyone because i am currently being hosted by a family in alicante! i would love to meet with any surfers who come through alicante for coffee or a drink. i also cannot wait until i'm back in the states with a place of my own so i can host surfers and, hopefully, give others an experience as wonderful as mine!

I have surfed with Pierre in Paris, Geir in Oslo, and Ethan in Fez. All wonderful experiences!!

Interests

i love animals. in particular, i love dogs and friendly cats. i love going on walks with my parents. i love spending time with my family and hearing their stories. my favorite meal is breakfast. even if it's the middle of the day, i love a waffle or scrambled eggs. i love sunday afternoons. there is nothing better than a sunday afternoon drive in the car, with the windows down and a good song playing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i participated in the hurricane katrina relief effort. it was amazing to see how helping install insulation in someone's water damaged house can change their life.

visiting glen coe and loch ness in scotland were pretty amazing too.

drinking mint tea with a scarf shop owner in fez, morocco was one of my favorite experiences ever.
