Overview
About Me
I'm a 25 year old Canadian on a mission to visit every country in the world! To do that I'm taking advantage of the working holiday visas offered by so many countriew to people under 35, so I'm on a continuous cycle of work then travel, but each time I work again I'm hoping to be in a new place.
I've been away from home now for a little over a year, mostly living and working in Australia. Now I'm on the road again and looking towards working in the Netherlands when my funds start to run low.
My dream would be to support myself through my writing as a successful novelist, and I'm always working towards that. I write fantasy and science fiction.
I'm an agreeable guy who likes to keep an open mind and learn as much as I can about the world and its people. I love a quiet night in but I don't remember the last time I said no to a party.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's way better to meet the locals and get a feel for the culture of a place then Airbnb or staying in hostels, especially if it's only for a short time.
I'd much rather pay my way with stories and laughter than coin, and it allows me to travel longer, and hear more of the world's stories.
Interests
If there is an item on the menu that I haven't eaten before, I do not have a choice I must get it, no matter how weird. It's a personal policy.
I'm an amateur photographer and love going to places with a view.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all sorts of music, usually pick a random genre and listen to the new stuff that's out.
I only really read fantasy and science fiction books, the longer the series the better.
Likewise my Netflix binging focuses on shows with a paranormal element. I don't choose to watch reality TV or detective shows, but if you put one on I'll still get sucked in!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming away from the wall 25 metres underwater while scuba diving, until there was no land in sight and the ocean floor was 200 metres below me and everything was silent and vast was a powerful experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm slowly working on a TEFL, and I'm a writer, so I could probably help teach you English? But I won't correct you unless you ask me to.
I can share lots of my travel stories!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bake Canadian deserts for us, and will say "out and about" whenever you want to laugh.
