About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Obtaining my Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on climate change and health communications. I will be interning with the WHO/WMO joint office this summer in Geneva.

ABOUT ME

I have lots of hobbies which equates to me rarely being bored, and often being exhausted. I enjoy to cook for others (and of course to eat with others), reading, illustration, skateboarding, and I have an addiction to world news and media on current events.

PHILOSOPHY
I firmly believe in the principles of equality, solidarity, and fraternity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started using Couchsuring when I was living in California. I then really utilized the site when I was teaching English in Bangkok Thailand. I met a great community through Couchsurfing in Thailand, including some life long friends.

My girlfriend and I have used Couchsurfing in Canada and in Washington, USA. All were great experiences.

I'm hoping to find a place to stay while I'm in Geneva, Switzerland for a few months this summer. I have a lot to offer and would love to contribute. Maybe a bit financially, maybe by cooking delicious meals, maybe by dog/cat sitting. I'm really going to miss my puppers and my partner.

I have experience teaching English, music lessons, skateboarding lessons, drawing lessons to adults and children, and I have extensive experience as a behavior specialist with children who have developmental and intellectual delays.

Interests

I love the outdoors: hiking, walking my dog, mushroom hunting, exercising, sailing, and just reading outside.

I'm social and personable, so company is always welcome. I enjoy occasionally going out although I've accepted old age early and have made it a habit of going to bed around 11pm.

Again, I really love to cook. Its how I relax and contribute to my community.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm really into dystopian fiction, sci-fi, but end up reading intellectual non-ficition most often.

Loved "The Earth Abides"!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My girlfriend and I experienced extreme sickness in Hanoi when typhoon Haiyan hit. That was pretty amazing in the most horrible type of way.
