About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get outside of my comfort zone as much as possible, to always be learning from other people, to understand other cultures through personal experience.
ABOUT ME
I am always going in different directions. I feel like I am interested in everything and learning something new is what I live for. I love language. I love music, both playing and listening. After high school I was in a couple of bands that played bad music, but I got to go around my country in a smelly van with some of my best friends and make some memories. I am learning how to fly an airplane. I love, love, love coffee of every kind. I study psychology in school, with a concentration on neuroscience (specifically memory systems). I like to cook, and am becoming semi-decent at it. I am obsessed with sneakers, and own too many of them. I like to read sentimental stories and watch sentimental movies. I can be sarcastic, but don't let that fool you; I am an optimist at heart. I know how to juggle.
PHILOSOPHY
This question strikes me as kind of weird. I live my life for knowledge, and more specifically, for knowledge through experience. I get out of bed most mornings and get excited thinking about what I can do.... anything that I can learn, I want it. When I get excited about something, I latch on to it and can sometimes focus on it too intently (don't worry, this doesn't apply to people).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed in a bunch of places in the U.S., with a lot of different results. Usually these encounters were poorly planned, or not planned at all. I have met some ridiculous people, some in a great way, some in a bad way. Either way, they made ridiculous memories and stories that I love to tell to this day. Couchsurfing was one of the most intimate, amazing, sometimes awkward, natural experiences that i've ever had. I have only ever couchsurfed when traveling with other people. I have crashed on a friend's couch one time in Europe, and in comparison to staying at a hostel it was a million times better.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ummmmm, Amélie, Coen Brothers movies (especially The Big Lebowski), The Usual Suspects, Punchdrunk Love, Thumbsucker, Wes Anderson movies, etc.
Music, so many things, M.I.A., Joanna Newsom, Electrelane, Mogwai, Pissed Jeans, No Age, Oxxxes, Aesop Rock, Busdriver, Venetian Snares, Battles, Belle and Sebastian, Wilco, Radiohead, Air, Broken Social Scene, The Blow, A Silver Mt. Zion, Sage Francis, you get the idea?
Books, same kind of deal, Vonnegut, Hesse, Sedaris, anything that people recommend to me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmmmmm...... I think most things that I see are amazing, but piloting an airplane for the first time would be up there.
Teach, Learn, Share
Okay, I can teach things about the languages that I know, those being:
Above all, English, but then Italian and French (more French after I come back from France for sure) and Greek. I can teach you to make a mean coconut milk. I can teach you how to juggle. I can teach you how to sink a jump shot in basketball. I can teach you how to make crème brûlée. I can teach you how to play some scales on a bass guitar. Random stuff!
