Single, female that would rather have a meaningful experience than a generic gift wrapped, cookie cutter one. I became an ordained minister in 2008 and really enjoy performing weddings. I am a pretty good artist, love photography, and also can sing karaoke til sun-up! I have 2 sons that are adults, 36 and 34yrs old and also am a grandma so I get along with kids great...(I don't act my real age at all!) I'm looking to meet great friends and get out of my "comfort zone" or "rut" as I like to call it, have just decided to stop working and see where the world takes me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Basically have been blessed to have more than I needed most of my life but am a big time believer in living within your means, and that as a society , sometimes we get a little carried away with "things" instead moments. Plus, as previously stated, I think real is better than generic. I've been mostly in California and at home in Hawaii, and just recently got to get in the Atlantic Ocean down in Florida, which was awesome. Went to New Orleans a few years back and that was a blast! Most recently, I got to go on a 32 day cruise from Long Beach, Ca, to Hawaii, then Samoa, then American Samoa, Fiji, Tahiti, and Moorea. It was incredible. I have been fortunate to have a great apartment in downtown Long Beach, an easy walk to the Pike and the Aquarium of the Pacific. Lots of great restaurants here! I live alone, but have a nice big space that can host a couple of people. Hope to meet soon!

Music, Movies, and Books

Coldplay and old Oingo Boingo, both have incredible lyrics that speak to me, Pepper, Citizen Cope, The Beautiful Girls and Lenny Kravitz, The Untouchables (ska band from the 80's) and old rock. Pretty much anything on that Dodo website makes me cry, I just love animals, but none more than my true "road dog", Chachi, who unfortunately was taken from me by cancer 3 years ago.

I cook great, I love to draw portraits, I paint pretty good, love to sew and my soap is bomb! Anyone that likes to cook should definitely invest in an i-pot (I think that's what they're called) they make everything so good! Lately been obsessed with cryptocurrency and trading it for tha big bux! Lol. In other words, I'm usually all over the place!
