About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Career change!

ABOUT ME

Smart, rational, and overly practical... Yet fun.

PHILOSOPHY

It's no fun if you hurry. (Preached, not practiced!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy traveling but seem to lack the funds. But I'm more than happy to offer up my place for cool foreign and domestic peeps alike!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I finally got a chance to make it happen. Thank you Parker!! Left my giant house out in GA, and now I've got a little IKEA couch in a modest apartment. We're generally available to a few needy parties.

Music, Movies, and Books

Artsy films and indie/electronic music, thanks to my best buddy's wonderful taste.

I should read more. I enjoy David Sedaris and National Geographic for brief sittings. Last books I read were "The Paradox of Choice" (nonfiction. I swear the author wrote this for me specifically.) and "Written on the Body" (fiction. poetic and wonderful descriptions of love and lust). I have a giant stack of half-finished (and I do mean half... not ten pages in...) books on my nightstand just waiting for my renewed interest. Where DO people find the time?!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hatched a dove (but it died). I've also had a bunny die in my hands (and I carried it around for several hours in a state of shock). I've had a cat go into labor on my lap (yay birth! the opposite of death!). I got a tattoo without looking. In the right state of mind everything can be amazing, but this is what comes to mind right now.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a bit about chemistry, have personal (but no formally taught) thoughts about politics and dogma, and would like to learn more about the arts and humanities from those who know it best: everyone else!

Recently learned that gin and tonic is the hippest drink in the club!

Also, did you know that feline susceptibility to catnip's intoxicating effect is actually a genetic trait? The occurrence is actually rather low in Australian domestic cats. Neat!
