ABOUT ME

Outgoing, fun-loving and adventurous. I love meeting new people and interacting with people from all walks of life. I enjoy most sports especially netball, volleyball, roller-blading, tennis, and also baking. I would love to travel around such that I would be able to see things that I have never seen before, gain valuable and memorable experiences and meet different and interesting people from around the world!

I was in the States for 3.5months during the summer in 2010, and I worked as a lifeguard in a theme park in Virginia. Got to know really awesome local and international friends from different parts of the world from Turkey, Macedonia, Ukraine, Moldova, Jordan, Ecuador, Jamaica, Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand.. All the interactions with my interesting friends made me realized that there is so much more to explore in life, and they got me interested in knowing more people and the different cultures there is in the world!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to couchsurf wherever I travel to, as it's an effective and personal platform make new friends, and to know more about the country, its culture and lifestyle!

I can't host people in my house, as I live with my parents and they are not open towards the idea. However, I hope to meet up with couchsurfers and hang out, bring them to the good places (including good food) in Singapore!

May-July '12: Vienna, Zurich, Munich, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris

All of my hosts, and thus my couchsurfing experiences, have been amazing so far. :) & I look forward to many more!

2.5 months Work & Travel program (lifeguard at a theme park) at Virgnia, US. 1 month travel in the States. Breathtaking Niagara Falls & Grand Canyon. Hitch-hiked twice in Yosemite National Park. Beautiful sunset in San Diego. Walked the whole stretch of Golden Gate Bridge and back in the cold weather.

12 days travel from South to North of Vietnam with amazing couchsurfers. :) Sand dunes at Mui Ne. Canyoning (25m waterfall abseiling and 7m cliff jump) at Da Lat. Long motorbike rides. 4 hours bus ride sitting on a stool at the aisle of bus. 18 hours sleeper bus ride from Hoi An to Hanoi.

2 months backpacking travel in Europe. Met so many different people from all walks of life. Learnt so much more about the world, and about myself. Truly an unforgettable experience :)

I would love to learn new languages, the different cultures, history of your country, something new that is of your interests, and hear about your own story!

Likewise, I would be glad to share with you everything about Singapore (culture, languages - English, Chinese Mandarin and "Singlish"), my own personal life and travelling experiences, and maybe teach/cook a simple Singapore dish!
