PHILOSOPHY

I don't think that there's anything worse than being ordinary. (disregard it's exactly a quote from American Beauty -- but watch the movie anyway). Also, happiness cannot be found when searching for it, it happens when doing really interesting and meaningful things. Such as meeting people and learning about their personal philosophy, isn't it?

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes.

No, actually the other way around.

For books, there are too many to mention. I enjoy all genres, which does not mean I can or like to read everything. Head to http://www.shelfari.com/cristiandinu/shelf to see what I've read lately.

I listen to classical, baroque, pre-baroque and sometimes contemporary music -- usually the kind of music where the composer is also mentioned, not only the song title. Plus a lot of jazz.

Here it's what comes to my mind, besides the usual suspects: Lully, Kapsberger, Glass, Rachmaninov, Zimmer, (Hanns) Wolf, Williams, Petrucciani.

I enjoy movies (and everything that tells a story), but usually as no-brains-entertainment, they're nice, funny and pleasurable. Plus great exceptions (e.g. "Closer", "Clockwork Orange", "2001")
