ABOUT ME

I'm a very sweet person and, though I can seem shy, I get along well with most people. I adore traveling and am always planning my next trip. I love being around people from different nationalities; Ever since I went on my first exchange trip I've grown more and more interested by different cultures. I'm very respectful of other people's beliefs, habits and personal space. I'm also very organized, girly and my spoken English is very good.

PHILOSOPHY

Most of the time I let life "take me", but sometimes it's good to take control, make things happen and show yourself that you still own your destiny :) That's what I believe.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm looking for places to stay, but hopefully I'll be able to host people very soon :) We've already taken in exchange students at my home (a boy from New Zealand and a boy from France), so we have some experience.

Interests

I love being with my friends and family, reading good books, watching good movies/tv series and doing girly things like shopping. I'm very interested in art, history and architecture - one of the reasons I love traveling so much. I also love meeting new people, even if just for a nice conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite books: "To kill a mockingbird", "The book thief", "Pride and prejudice", "A tree grows in Brooklyn", "Libertinagem & estrela da manhã", among many others.
Favorite movies: "Singin' in the rain", "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain", "The Royal Tenenbaums", "Dogville", "Me and you and everyone we know", etc :)
As for music, I like a lot of different things. My favorites: Chico Buarque, The Beatles, Fiona Apple, Sara Bareilles, Maria Rita, She & Him, U2, Madonna, etc, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Climbing Franz Josef Glacier in New Zealand. I was 16 and it was during my first time abroad by myself for a long period of time. It was definitely harder than I thought it would be, but in a way that made it even more worth it. It was a beautiful day and an experience like no other.
- Working for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. It may seem silly, but it is a life changing event when you belive in Great Service Quality and want to learn all about it. They really do know what they're doing there and I will never ever forget all the "magical moments" I had while working there, helping create magic every day <3
