ABOUT ME

I'm from an island in the Caribbean. Spanish is my first language. I'm a pretty simple and happy person. Open, honest, intuitive, happy, spontaneous and compassionate, I care a lot about others and never take the last bite. I usually don't wear make up. I like to be organized and chaos distracts me, but I'm an artist and I do have "organized mess" sometimes but only in my work area -that I end up organizing again just before I start to work (it's part of the ritual ;)). I'm just a normal imperfect girl. I love yoga (for me is more than just a workout and has become my primary training for body, mind and spirit). I also like hiking, being outdoors and working out in the morning (it gives me energy for the rest of the day). I like to go camping and being in nature -I would do it every weekend if I could! At home I eat vegan, but when I go out I eat fish once in a while. I love art and photography way too much, even more traditional film photography. I grew up dancing ballet among other types of dancing disciplines. I also enjoy learning languages and would love to travel as soon as I finish my MFA.

I don't believe in Capitalism, I dislike shopping, I usually don't like brands, I prefer thrift stores, DIY, fair trade and natural/healthy products. I'm also anti war, anti army and specially anti borders.

I love foreign movies. In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar Wai is my favorite movie. I also like Le scaphandre et le papillon, Amelie, Cléo de 5 à 7, Cidade de Deus, Central do Brasil, 8 1/2, Il Postino, El laberinto del Fauno, Abrazos Rotos, and many others... I also like Before Midnight and the prior two movies...
I like Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, The Office... etc.

Music: I like mostly everything. From flamenco to Reggae, Bossa Nova and Samba. Classical music and Salsa
