Hi, I’m Cristina!
I was born in León, a small town in the northwest of Spain, but life has taken me far and wide. At 16 I lived in New York, later studied in Madrid and Chicago, then moved to Denver and eventually to Texas for work. Somewhere along the way, an existential crisis showed up (as they tend to), and I decided to change direction. That detour led me to Guatemala, where I spent three years working in humanitarian projects.
Since then, I’ve collaborated with NGOs and tribal communities across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa. Those experiences have shaped me far more than any degree or job title.

These days, I haven’t quite figured out where I live—or even exactly what I want. What I do know is that I no longer cling to certainties, and the older I get, the more I find myself questioning everything.
What has stayed constant is what I value most: people. Places are beautiful, but it’s the people we meet who give meaning to everything in life. I try to find (or create) community wherever I go, and I’ll always prioritize connecting with someone over anything else.

As for hobbies, I’m very much in Whitman’s line of thought: “I contain multitudes.” I love being outdoors—hiking, climbing, camping, canyoneering, skiing—yet I’m just as happy spending an afternoon at home reading a book, playing guitar, or diving into long, meandering conversations with a good friend.
