ABOUT ME

Born in Denver, Colorado, but grew up in small Kansas towns. I now coach and substitute teach at the high school I graduated from. I LOVE coaching and watching athletes improve when they realize the difference hard work can make.

I live above the DVD rental store I own in town.

Interested in travel for the chance to experience beautiful and/or historic places. The idea of connecting with locals through coachsurfing before traveling to a new place is pretty exciting.

I don't drink or smoke.

PHILOSOPHY

I get frustrated by aggressive, American nationalism. I love the U.S. but consider my first loyalty to be with humanity as a whole.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, I don't live anywhere near a tourist destination. I'm 20 minutes outside of Wichita, Kansas. Let's just say this is a nice place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit. :)

Movies: Pulp Fiction, Shawshank Redemption, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, American Beauty, Good Will Hunting, Chasing Amy, Almost Famous, Life is Beautiful, many more. I tend to agree with the critics.

Books: The Count of Monte Cristo, War and Peace, Les Miserables, Anne Rice books

Music: About anything except rap and country

Went to Hawaii in 2009. Absolutely beautiful.
