Hi! My name is Cris and I'm from the Azores (Portugal) but living in Porto.

I came back from living in the UK to start another degree in biology now (after a degree in music - piano and a postgraduate in secondary language teaching).

I’m super fortunate to be living with another friend that is also very happy to open the house to others. Keen to host and get to meet people, and help however we can :)

Unfortunately, for some reason I’ve had a lot of people that ask to stay and then never reply, or that don’t show up after saying they would stay over. To make sure you won’t be one of those people just say “lichens” on your request message ;)

Also, just keep in mind that our house is near the Vasco da Gama metro stop, not exactly in the city center.

Musica, film e libri

Music:
I love jazz, blues, classical, indie, soul, folk. But also techno, house, jungle. Have been listening to a lot of modular synths lately whilst studying.
I play the piano, mostly classical and Jazz.

Movies (Directors):
Almodóvar, Miyazaki, Dolan, Tarkovsky, etc etc.

Books:
I love Tolstoy and Ursula Le Guin. Used to read a lot more classics but lately have a lot of uni reading to do. On my 3rd year in a row to read 20+ books per year.

Hitchhiked from the UK to Slovenia for charity, and a year later from France to Greece.

I’ve done two 10 day Vipassana courses.
