I'm a 23 year old recent college graduate who has a passion for traveling and learning as much as I can about the world around me. :) Different cultures and ways of life fascinate me and I hope to gain as much insight into the world around me as I can while I'm abroad!

I am currently an Au Pair in Valladolid Spain, and am very interested in traveling around Spain in my free time as well as Portugal. I really enjoy learning as much as I can about the places I visit, and seeing what they have to offer, other than just the typical tourist destinations. So being able to stay with a local is the best way to get an authentic cultural experience in my opinion!

Traveling obviously! Reading, photography, buying an obscene amount of handmade jewelry and other items just because "it was handmade by a woman in Thailand." I like to be outside enjoying nature, but I'm not sporty (or coordinated unfortunately). Drinking a cup of coffee with good company and a nice view is definitely one of life's simple pleasures, in my opinion. I also love cooking (and eating), but I can't cook too many things, so I'd love to learn how to make some new dishes! Also, wine. Wine is a must.

I enjoy most types of music from pop to country to reggae, I'm pretty much open to anything. I like books about travel and self-discovery, or historical fiction.

Moving to Thailand! Moving there was a huge step for me, but it pushed me to travel more and now I'm here in Spain! I'm still new to the expat life so I can get easily discouraged at times, but I just constantly remind myself what it took to get here and how far I've already come :)

This is what couch surfing, and traveling in general, are all about! I'm trying to learn as much as possible from those around me both travelers and locals. Sharing stories, experiences, food, traditions-it all really helps open up your view of the world. And I hope that along the way I can teach people about my life and experiences as well!
