About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Breaking down the barriers by building people up!

ABOUT ME

I'm just a goofy looking punk kid who's trying to make things a little better for the people around me--I can walk a long ways and write some catchy riffs, and I do my dishes. I'm not (verified) or whatever because Pedals isn't my real last name, but its the one I've been using/playing under for the past five years, and who folks would know me as.

I'm into subversion, summoning metaphors, the cosmos, plants, leveling up, comic books and fantasy novels, whiskey in coke bottles, horizons, creatively crafted pizzas, finding friends in any place, sleeping in strange places, always learnin!

PHILOSOPHY

D.I.Y./No Masters/Anarchomedian/People before flags.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any experience using this site, but I've certainly done my share of hosting/cooking for weary travelers and traveling bands, and in turn have slept in some really weird but interesting spots--think putting people up and perpetuating a cycle of good will makes things better for everybody in the long run. It does come back to you.

Interests

Ramblin', absorbing all the stories and experiences I can to try my best to exhale in forms that do them justice, genuinely earnest people, helping folks with any sort of endeavor they have, trying to ultimately destroy patriarchal/racist/queer-phobic culture structures, i like creeks and rail road tracks, hanging out by both of these things with maybe a six pack and friends and an instrument of some kind, readin/making comics, readin/makin poemz, i used to help run a punk house and make food/host/do shows for traveling bands and after i'm done rolling around the UK i'd really like to get back to that. Now i'm going to university for an english degree of some kind, not really worried about that aspect one way or another.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This seems a little weird to answer, but alright--The most invigorated I've ever felt was the only time I hopped a freight train from Kansas City to Tulsa, Oklahoma--when I get back to the states that's probably what I'll go straight into doing. Rolling across country that no where but freight trains go, riding past little towns with the lights on in the windows, people having no idea there's some kid sitting on a grainer car porch rolling through under the moonlight.
