I am a 21-years old girl from Hong Kong.
I study Politics in Chinese University of Hong Kong, however, I'm now in an exchange in Oulu, Finland.

I am proud of being a Hongkong-er. Most of the people would think that we are just Chinese. Yes we are, we inherited similar cultures from China. At the same time, living in a metropolitan reminds me my identity as a world citizen. So we are more open.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

When I was in high school, I have been organizing an exchange program for students from Taiwan, mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau (yes....we are all so-called "Chinese" but because of the historical reasons, we shared different culture, social environment and even....identities). I invited them to come to my place and had a really nice dinner. Before that, everyone is so shy and lack of interactions. But under the good atmosphere of food and wine, they talked more and shared their inner thoughts. So i know how important the atmosphere will be. If I can live and share the same bedroom with a stranger, I am sure we can be friends more easily :)

I love food. And I enjoy learning cooking. If you are interested in exotic cuisines or something spicy, we sure will be having great meals together. Also, I am very enthusiastic with Chinese culture: I read a lot of Chinese literature and poems, played Chinese instrument and learned Chinese paintings and calligraphy. If you are interested in oriental wisdom as well, we will have a lot of things to talk about.
