ABOUT ME

I'm a student from Germany and this is my first time outside Europe. I've been to a couple of places in Europe, met nice people and had fun, but I feel like there's so much more to see out there - and this is why I'm here. I'm staying in Pittsburgh, PA until the end of 09 for writing my master thesis in computer science.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

To be honest, I don't have much experience in CS. One of my best friends told me about it and I started to build up interest in it when I arrived in the states.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. Propably, it's one of the most important things in my life. I'm currently listening to: Bloc Party, Boysetsfire, Strawbs, The Alchemist, MGMT, Diplomats, Styx, Evidence, Nas. But there's so much more stuff I enjoy listening to, but I mostly focus on the 70's, some 80's and stuff from the current century!

Movies: There are so many movies I really like, but I can't remember movie names very well, so here are just a few that came to my mind: Scarface, The Godfather, Wedding Crashers, Lost, City of God, The Dark Knight, Reservoir Dogs, Crash, Rocky, Good Will Hunting, Kill Bill, Donnie Darko, The Butterfly Effect ... All in all I like most kind of movies, especially comedies and deep going stuff, but there's nothing wrong with watching some action flicks with fast cars, big guns and huge explosions!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to cook, so teaching some German recipes, which my dad and my grandma taught me, wouldn't be a problem. I enjoy cooking and I'm always glad about new inspirations.

And hey, I used to teach theoretical computer science for a couple semesters at Univerity of Karlsruhe, so if anyone needs any help with automata theory or complexity theory, hit me! ;)
