ABOUT ME

Just moved to Austin! Yeah, I'm one of those. Currently trying on as many hats as possible trying to figure out with the hopefully 3/4 of my life I have left.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to live with no regrets, and in my opinion that means meeting as many different people, seeing as many different places, and most importantly sharing as much laughter as is humanly possible. When I finally get too old to live like crazy, and travel all over, I want to at least have amazing stories to tell so my grandkids will know, "Grandma used to kick ass."

I have surfed about 6 or 7 times total, but I am hoping to get in to hosting. We shall have to see...

Interesses

I like to watch how people interact. I enjoy good parties/dancing (though I wont claim any talent there haha), good food (and lots of it!), amazing satire, fabulous books, people with stories and my quest to become one of them.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Movies? Love Actually, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Slumdog Millionaire. Books? Anything by Douglas Adams, and then crazy feminist literature like Sylvia Plath and kate Chopin, as well as Steve Martin's Shopgirl (which is also a great movie) and Tom Robbins' Jitterbug Perfume. Music varies.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

Most of the amazing things I've seen are people who make me feel like everything I've done/seen pales in comparison. I like to think someday I will rewrite this section someday saying I've helped thousands of people rebuild their homes, or traveled the entire world by bicycle, or whatever. Now I am just doing what I can and remaining awed and inspired by those who have done more.

In my couch surfing so far, I have done a lot more learning than sharing! I feel a little guilty about that, but then again it's sort of the point of traveling. However, as a Georgia girl, I can fry you some chicken and teach you to talk with a southern accent if you wish. I also bake a mean pumpkin bread.
