About Me
Grew up moving around a lot with my family, so I have a love for travel. When I do get to go travel, I enjoy looking at the big sights as anyone does, but really perfer to check out the local scene. This includes stuff like going to the local watering holes and grocery stores, I love grocery stores in other counties. Really.
About myself: I love music, thrift shopping and cooking. Nearly always perfer cooking a meal at home compared to going out to eat. Also enjoy long boarding, tennis, board games (I'll play Catan all night), backpacking and fly fishing!
Currently working as a mechanical engineer at a large company, but someday dream of opening a brewery/kombuchary to sell both craft beer and kombucha. I have a closet in my house where beer and kombucha are constantly fermenting. To me, its smells delicious in there, to my roommates... maybe not as much.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet people and make friends. I want to host because I want to show people around my stomping grounds and make their trip easier and memorable. And I want to stay with people because anytime I've ever traveled, having a local, whether it be a new or old friend, show me around, always results in an incredible experience.
With upcoming travels, I'm less focused on finding places to sleep, and more so finding new friends to show me around town.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite Music:
Indie electronic pop music from female artists of European descent
Spanish music
Bossa Nova
Favorite Author:
Hemingway (Currently in progress of reading ALL of his books. I've read 4 of his novels so far, plus I'm slowly working the entire short stories collection)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ate street food in India everyday for 3 weeks straight while never getting sick, and then ate some Chicken Fries at the Burger King in the Mumbai airport as my final Indian meal and threw up all over a market in Doha.
Teach, Learn, Share
While I can have a complete conversation in Spanish, it's definitely a little broken as well, so I'm always looking to practice it!
I can teach the ways of beverage fermentation - both beer and kombucha.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can absolutely help cook a meal. Just tell me what you want, and I'd head to the grocery store to grab everything.
