I love literature, particularly Anglophone 'women's fiction' & Austrian works around the decline of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy (Ödön von Horváth, Stefan Zweig, Arthur Schnitzler, Adalbert Stifter, Friedrich Torberg).
General favourite authors include Georg Büchner, Emily, Anne and Charlotte Brontë, Berthold Brecht, Katherine Mansfield, Johann W Goethe, Evelyn Waugh, Dorothy Parker!
Recent good reads: Stifter's Brigitta & Horváth's Jugend ohne Gott.

I also like reading plays and going to the theatre. My favourites here are Heinrich von Kleist's Penthesilea, Friedrich Schiller's Mary Stuart and Georg Büchner's Danton's Death.

Films: Les Amours Imaginaires, Frances Ha, Gloria, Napoleon Dynamite, Der Schüler Gerber, Welcome in Vienna, Die Fledermaus, Matchpoint, Stromboli, Viaggio in Italia, Le Fantôme de la Liberté, Angst Essen Liebe auf, Los Amantes Pasajeros, Women on the Verge of Nervous Breakdown, Finsterworld, Wadjda

I like 'classical' music, notably opera. Faves include Tosca, Norma, Fidelio, Verdi's (Aida, Macbeth, Nabucco) and Mozart's works (Idomeneo, le nozze di Figaro).
In pop music, I like creative lyrics (Wir Sind Helden) and fun dancy stuff (cheers elephant, tigercats, comet gain, le tigre). I guess I also have a thing for Francophone pop, haha!
